„Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, first place in Times Higher Education ranking

The „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest remains on the first place among the 22 Romanian universities ranked, according to the international Times Higher Education ranking, published on Thursday.

For the third consecutive year, the „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, together with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, is placed in the 801-1000 band in the Times Higher Education ranking, making them the highest-ranked universities in Romania.

„The fact that ‘Carol Davila’ UMF is once again, in this edition of the Times Higher Education international ranking, alongside the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, in the 801-1000 band globally, consolidating its top position among the 22 Romanian universities included in the ranking, is both an honour and a responsibility for us. This achievement is the result of the joint efforts of academic staff, researchers, students and institutional partners who, through their work, passion, and professionalism, keep our university among the elite of international medical education. Academic excellence is not an award, but a promise renewed with every generation, and the ‘Carol Davila’ University of Medicine and Pharmacy will continue to be a benchmark of that promise,” said the University’s Rector, Professor Viorel Jinga, MD, in a press release on Thursday.
